After 2 rounds of the Senior and Intermediate hurling championships, we are sitting pretty good with 2 victories from 2 outings in both championships.

Our |senior hurlers have played Doon and Kilmallock coming out on top in both games. The Doon game was decided by a powerful last 10 minute spell to overcome a deficit to win by five points on a 2-20 to 1-18 scoreline. David Dempsey and Conor Boylan with the goals. Round 2 saw us paired with County champions Kilmallock and this game also went to the wire with a 1-19 to 1-18 win with a David Dempsey goal. We now face a 3 week break before resuming with a fixture versus Patrickswell.

The Intermediate hurlers also have 2 wins from 2 games following victories over Feohanagh and Caherline.

The first game against a Seamus Flanagan led Feohanagh was a tight affair with a last puck of the game pile driver from goalkeeper Shane Dowling winning the game by a single point 1-18 to 1-17. The Caherline game was a better performance and one where we dominated for long periods. We prevailed on a 2-20 to 0-14 scoreline with our goals coming from Dylan Lynch and Evan Gilvarry. They now await Murroe Boher in round 3 on Sept 1st
