We are back!!
Na Piarsaigh Senior Hurlers on back on top of the pile as Limerick Senior Hurling Champions for 2020.
What a way to do it as they powered past Doon in one hell of a performance with an exhibition of hurling especially in the second half.
We scored 5 goals in total, 1 in the first half through man of the match David Dempsey and 4 more in the second half with David getting his second and 2 from Peter Casey and 1 from Adrian Breen. We led at the break 1-12 to 0-9 which saw Adrian Breen and Peter Casey score 3 points each from play.
The second half started well for us and David Dempsey cracked home our second goal. A dubious penalty saw Doon raise a green flag of their own but there on it was all Na Piarsaigh. By the 2nd half water break we had extended our lead to 2-19 to 1-12. From here to the final whistle we scored 2-8 without reply to claim our 6th Daly cup in 9 years.
Massive congratulations to Captain Will O Donoghue and his teammates who were brilliant all year and to the management team led superbly by Kieran Bermingham.
All roads lead back to the Gaelic Grounds again tomorrow as we bid to win 2 titles in 24hours
