Na Piarsaigh Camogie

Na Piarsaigh Camogie Club was founded in February 1993 and so celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The club fields teams at every age group from U6 right through to Senior level and we have over 180 registered players. Although, not part of the one club model yet, the Camogie Club is progressing towards that model and operates in very close co-operation with Na Piarsaigh GAA Club, in matters such as finance, joint fund raising, allocation of pitches and each club has two delegates attending each other’s meetings. The Camogie Club is very active contributing players and mentors at all ages to Limerick County teams. Possibly the most successful were Aoife & Jane Wilson, Laura O’Neill & Sinéad McNamara who won an All-Ireland Minor Championship when Limerick defeated Cork in the Minor Final in 2014 after a replay. These same 4 girls and Katie Campbell went on to win an All-Ireland Intermediate Championship in Croke Park in 2014 against Kilkenny and are all still back boning our senior team. The Camogie Club is greatly indebted to a number of sponsors who were not found wanting during our recent Camogathon fund raiser and one particular sponsor who likes to remain anonymous and thus our Senior team do not display and logos.
