Na Piarsaigh Gaelic4Mothers & Others
The initiative fosters a sense of camaraderie among participants, creating a supportive network within the club and the wider community.
Na Piarsaigh Gaelic4Mothers & Others launched in August 2022, it is a community initiative run by the Ladies Gaelic Football Association to introduce mothers and other women to playing Ladies Gaelic Football. Gaelic4Mothers & Others sees women playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment.
Gaelic4Mothers & Others provides an opportunity for women to get their recommended weekly exercise in a fun way while meeting other mothers in the area. Being a Mother is not a necessity but participants must be 18+ and not currently playing competitively with a club team.
The Na Piarsaigh Gaelic4Mothers & Others entered their first competitive blitz on November 12th hosted by Ballybrown GAA and won both games.
Na Piarsaigh Gaelic4Mothers & Others promotes not only physical well-being but also mental and emotional health by offering a space for relaxation, friendship, and shared experiences. By engaging mothers and other community members, the initiative strengthens the bonds within the club and reinforces its commitment to inclusivity and community involvement.
Na Piarsaigh Gaelic4Mothers & Others meet up each Wednesday evening 8pm – 9pm.
